Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 7, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, billing issues, and payment disputes are handled by Seung-Ki Kim, operating as Metamize Media ("Metamize Media," "we," "us," or "our").

This Refund Policy applies to Metamize Media's website, services, Homepage Launch services, Care Plan services, payment flows, subscriptions, and related offerings.

By approving a preview, completing payment, using Metamize Media's services, or subscribing to a Care Plan, the client agrees to this Refund Policy.

1. Preview-First Payment Model

For eligible Homepage Launch services, the client does not pay the Homepage Launch fee before seeing the private preview.

If the client does not approve the private preview, they owe nothing for the Homepage Launch.

The private preview is provided for review only. If the client does not approve the preview and complete payment, the client receives no rights to use, copy, publish, modify, distribute, recreate, or commercially use the preview, design, layout, copy, code, structure, strategy, images, or related materials created by Metamize Media.

2. Homepage Launch Refunds

Once the client approves the private preview and completes payment, the Homepage Launch fee is non-refundable.

This is because the client has already reviewed the work before payment, and the payment covers strategy, preparation, design, copy, build work, final setup, launch preparation, launch work, and time already completed or reserved.

The Homepage Launch fee is not refundable simply because the client changes their mind, delays launch, fails to provide domain, DNS, registrar, hosting, platform, or account access, stops responding, gives incomplete information, changes business direction, or decides not to publish the homepage after approval and payment.

Metamize Media will make reasonable efforts to complete the launch, but client delay, missing access, lack of responsiveness, or third-party issues do not make an approved and paid Homepage Launch automatically refundable.

3. Care Plan Refunds and Cancellations

Care Plan payments are billed monthly at the rate shown at checkout, invoice, payment page, proposal, or written agreement.

Care Plan payments are not automatically refunded once a billing period begins.

The client may cancel before the next billing cycle to stop future billing.

Cancellation does not automatically refund previous Care Plan payments, partial months, unused time, or services already provided, reserved, maintained, hosted, supported, or made available.

If the Care Plan is cancelled, expires, fails payment, or is terminated, Metamize Media may stop providing hosting, maintenance, updates, support, monitoring, or related services after the active billing period ends.

4. Third-Party Costs

Third-party costs are not refundable by Metamize Media unless Metamize Media specifically charged and agreed to refund them.

Third-party costs may include:

If a third-party provider offers its own refund, that refund is governed by that provider's policy, not Metamize Media's Refund Policy.

The client is responsible for third-party costs connected to their own domains, accounts, platforms, tools, subscriptions, vendors, software, hosting, email, payment processors, or decisions unless Metamize Media expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

5. Billing Errors, Duplicate Payments, and Accidental Overcharges

If Metamize Media determines that a duplicate payment, billing error, or accidental overcharge occurred, Metamize Media may issue a refund or credit for the incorrect amount.

Refunds or credits for billing errors are reviewed case by case and may require verification through Stripe, the payment processor, invoice records, subscription records, bank records, or other relevant records.

Metamize Media may refuse a refund request if the payment was valid, authorized, properly charged, or connected to services already approved, provided, reserved, maintained, hosted, supported, or made available.

6. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If the client has a concern about a payment, launch, Care Plan charge, subscription, billing issue, or service issue, the client must contact Metamize Media first so Metamize Media has a reasonable chance to review and resolve the issue.

Filing a chargeback, dispute, reversal, or payment claim without first contacting Metamize Media may result in suspension of hosting, support, maintenance, launch activity, access, or services.

The client is responsible for any chargeback fees, failed payment fees, recovery fees, collection costs, penalties, or related costs caused by the client's payment failure, dispute, reversal, account issue, or breach of Metamize Media's Terms of Service, to the extent permitted by law.

Metamize Media may suspend or terminate services if a payment is disputed, reversed, charged back, unpaid, or marked as failed.

7. Client-Caused Delays or Issues

If the client approves the private preview and completes payment, the Homepage Launch fee is not refundable because of delays, access issues, missing information, or decisions caused by the client.

This includes situations where the client:

Metamize Media will make reasonable efforts to complete the launch, but client delay or lack of access does not make an approved and paid Homepage Launch refundable.

8. Metamize Media Cancellation or Inability to Complete

If Metamize Media cancels a paid Homepage Launch before launch for reasons not caused by the client, Metamize Media may issue a full or partial refund at its discretion based on the work completed, costs incurred, third-party expenses, time reserved, and circumstances.

If cancellation is caused by the client's breach, failed payment, chargeback, missing access, misconduct, illegal request, unreasonable delay, incomplete information, third-party account issue, or work outside the agreed scope, the Homepage Launch fee is not automatically refundable.

Metamize Media may refuse or cancel work that creates legal, technical, operational, financial, reputational, or security risk.

9. Migration After Cancellation

If the client cancels the Care Plan and wants to move the homepage elsewhere, the client is responsible for moving, migrating, hosting, reconnecting, or republishing the homepage.

If the account is paid in full, Metamize Media may provide a copy of the final static homepage files upon request.

Migration, setup on another host, DNS troubleshooting, platform troubleshooting, rebuilding, redesigning, adapting the homepage for another platform, reconnecting the homepage elsewhere, or providing technical support after cancellation is not included unless separately agreed in writing and paid for.

Migration-related costs, platform costs, domain costs, hosting costs, transfer fees, recovery fees, and third-party costs are the client's responsibility unless Metamize Media expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

10. Refund Method and Timing

Approved refunds, if any, will usually be returned to the original payment method.

Refund timing may depend on Stripe, the payment processor, the client's bank, card issuer, or financial institution.

Metamize Media does not control how long banks, card issuers, payment processors, or financial institutions take to post a refund after it has been issued.

Payment processor fees, currency conversion fees, bank fees, card fees, or other transaction-related costs may not be refundable.

11. How to Request a Refund Review
